What Youth Services Is:
Youth Services encompasses three programs of the YWCA of Greater Portland:
- Camp Westwind a traditional co-ed residential camp near Lincoln City, OR.
- Camp Westwind in the City an urban based day camp in downtown Portland.
- LearnLinks an after school homework and mentoring program in the Greater Portland area.
All YWCA Youth Programs have these underlying goals:
- Creating a fun and safe environment for youth to learn and explore
- Cultivating new experiences
- Building a community that encourages awareness of self as well as others
- Encouraging youth to gain valuable independence and leadership skills
Who We Serve:
Camp Westwind serves youth entering 1st grade through 12th grade as well as family camp opportunities.
Camp Westwind in the City serves youth from 5-14 years of age. As well as volunteer opportunities for youth 16-18 years of age.
LearnLinks serves school-aged youth living in specific low-income housing locations around the Greater Portland area.
