Holiday Giving

Holiday joy is not a given for children living in shelters. Transitional living situations can exacerbate the pain of those sheltered in our programs--especially during the holiday season of abundance. Children coping with losses or living with little can be profoundly affected. Additionally, many of the parents we support feel the pain of being unable to provide a festive time for their families.

To help keep joy in the lives of these children regardless of time of year, we keep a closet full of gifts. Following is a list of items that make wonderful presents for any holiday. Moms can come and select something special to give their children as needed.

You can also sponsor a child directly. Not only is the child always happy to receive a gift, but you can include a special, individualized note of encouragement for them as well. We must keep the identity of our children confidential, so if you are addressing a note to one of them directly, please be non-specific. Just let us know if the gift is for a girl or boy and what age range.
